B Swap Alternator Brackets in Place of Hammering the Frame Rail?
Hey Guys,
I'm considering doing a b swap, and in my research I hit my one deal breaker: hammering the frame rail. That's an absolute non-negotiable for me, as my car is pretty clean. I have been doing a bunch of research, and I finally found a couple of mentions of the 90-93 alternator bracket and a 95 del sol belt. Will this work? Can anyone input on this?
Thanks in advance

Easiest thing to do is put a 2-rib D-series pulley on the B-series alternator and use a short belt (you can get belts in any length you want); or you can swap over the D-series alternator and bracket, just have to get a little creative with the top mount but it's not difficult at all. Sure wish I had've done this originally, then I wouldn't have had to dent mine.
Yeah man. I have a super clean Civic hatch. Tahitian Green Pearl Si. Whereas I did a lot of things to my CRX (hammered the firewall to fit the Skunk2 intake on my d16 build) that I regret, I want to keep this clean. I'm helping an older neighbor restore a CRX that had a B swap in it. I saw the spot where they hammered the frame rail. That was the point for me in which I decided I did not want to do that.
