Default Alternator Clearance with a B18C5 in a CRX

I got my car back from the shop today after messing it up and the alternator pulley is still rubbing on the frame.
Now I have one of three options:
1)Pull out the alternator and hammer out that spot about a half inch
2)Cut a small gap out for the alternator pulley (afraid this might weaken the frame)
3)Find a smaller alternator

Suggestions?

I went with option 1. Hammered it when the motor was out.

you are supposed to hammer a dent in the frame and use a shorter belt. hasport instructions also say to do this

Yah I called them up and they said I was supposed to, and I had, I guess just not enough. Looks like I'm going to have to take off the alternator and hammer it a little more. Do you think I could just cut a notch instead?

if you can fit something to cut fine but I think if you just hammer it right and hit the right areas you will be cool

Half inch of hammering seems like alot to me. We only did about 1/4 of inch and the clearence was fine. Option 1 is the way to go

Well I got in a wreck that shifted the engine a wee bit, so I'll need a half inch

I'm pretty sure the b16's alternator is smaller
