Default Helpp !!! Starting up jdm h22a

I got a h2b that i took the head off to rebuild & now that i got the head from the machine shop i put everything back on im having a problem to start it up , people are telling me that the motor doesnt have compression , i did a compression test it was good i want to know what could cause this

I think the motor is off timing by a tooth will that matter

I would have to agree with ekhatch110, in that you may want to start by rechecking the timing allignment. Do not forget to troubleshoot your ignition system as well. { Air / Fuel / Compression / Ignition } No spark / No fire. Most of the time, our problems are caused by the most simplest of issues, generally forgetting one little thing.

If it is off by a tooth, engine wont start and I've witnessed this. We checked for spark, fuel, air...then timing and turned out being off by a tooth. We fixed the problem and engine started up just fine. Definitely check for timing and get back to us.
