need advice on how to fix worn wiring
hi I am new to this site and also building my first honda I have a 92 honda civic 4 door. I have a used motor installed but 2 wiring connectors are so worn that the wire broke clean off. 1 to the thermostate housing and another to the distributor. any advice on how to deal with worn connectors I would be very grateful for the help
I think you can get the pins and harnesses separate - maybe try the dealer? Then you can cut, strip, and crimp. Otherwise, see if there are any local salvage yards - you might be able to get part of a wire harness.
Welcome:
You can "depin" the connectors. Effectively, pull the little metal barb inside of the connector out allowing you to reattached the wire to it, then reinsert into the connector.
The search here returned about a million non-relevant results, but a quick google search returned this one with instructions for different connector types: http://www.carolinahondas.com/instal...nda-plugs.html
