Door Handle is Broken
I have a 93 del Sol and from the first day I bought it the door handle on the drivers side wouldn't work. It just moves back and forth. I had already pulled off the door panel and saw that there was a broken plastic piece but I didn't have the money to fix it so for a while i hung a shoelace out the handle attached to the bit the opened the door. When that broke i got lazy and instead I would just walk around and use the passenger door.
Well this morning I'm on my way to get groceries and I realize that the passengers door is broken too now. This one clicks when I try and open it and the handle sort of stays out when I let go.
So basically what I'm asking is whether any of you have any recommendations for breaking into my own car without having to smash my newly replaced window (thrives broke into it)?
Also, have any of you had experiences replacing the handle assembly? I'm tired of having to deal with the broken handle XD

The door handles are easy and cheap to replace, just 2 10mm bolts, in fact there is a fix where you can put a screw through it if you want to do that. To get in you can break a window if you have to they are also really easy to replace and only about 50 on ebay, but you can get in by removing the weather strip and get down that crack with a bent hangar and pop it, its not easy but ive done it before when I got locked out
It isn't the handle that is broken, it the is entire assembly. I would have to remove the handle and the assembly with the lock. But to even do that I have to open the door and get into the car...which I can't
I am really sorry but I laughed really hard when I read this. Great visual when reading it. Must be the English humor.
Have you tried AAA? AAA will have all the tools. They have one metal rod that will go in between the door frame and car, or window and car, and grab the release mechanism inside the vehicle.
Can you remove the Targa top? Does the rear window roll down without the key turned on?
None of this works, find a passenger or driver's window on Craigslist or go to the junkyard.
Smash & Dash or in your case Smash & Replace

Duct tape the entire window before you smash it.
Use this to break it.

Well I don't wanna break the window... The door is unlocked so I kind of just wanted to wedge something like a ruler in between the window and door and push the latch open but I'm not sure if anyone has had success.
Okay just got it opened using a metal ruler jammed in between the window and the door. I just pushed down the mechanism and it popped right open. Thanks guys! Glad I didn't bust bust my window lol

Door handles aren't that expensive. Good luck.
