so heres the deal. i got in my car, went to the store, and when i went to get out door wouldn't open. made sure it was unlocked and rolled the window down to try from the outside. nothing. when i hit the power lock switch the little **** pops up and everything but i'm not getting anything from the handles, inside or out. thought about removing door panel but no room. anyone ran into this before or know how to get door open? much appreciated

 

you might have to sacrifice the door card and cut it out to get inside the door if it's as bad as i think it is.

I wanted to pull a door wire harness off a del Sol at the junkyard but the door was jammed like you described and both handles were gone. The lock mechanism was frozen (not cold, but rock hard) and we had to torch the hinges and lock striker.

well i wasn't trying to say you'll have to torch it. might have to sacrifice the panel though so you can get inside the door and play with the mechanism.

 

if the door wont open from both the inside or the inside, i would think that the linkages are either broken or loose. you would have to some how take off the door panel to determine which link is the problem. unfortunately, there is no way to remove the door panel with the door closed.

i would play around with your locks and make sure that they are working. also, play around with the handles to see which one is the problem.
