Default Anyone use Go autoworks T-GA Turbonetics turbo

http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/tga5454.html

Im looking at the T-GA 5454 Journal Bearing by Turbonetics

I beleive these are custom units assembled for go autoworks T stands for Turbonetics and GA stands for go autoworks. I mean I would prefer to go with Garrett 57 trim so trying to find something similar. (kits come standard with the turbonetics option) quality same? and also are the ceramic ball bearing versions any good? (no watercooling) Hopefully Theshodan can chime in i recall seeing a post from him showing how certain ball bearings were prone to failure but i believe it was precision.

Trying to keep it simple this time as far as fitment I would assume that they have the fitment down on the turbonetics since thats what comes with their kit by default and they dont have an option for 57 trim on that particular kit, they do have the gt series but not sure if I wanna go with Gt series just yet

Get the Go-Autoworks starter kits and choose your own turbo if there are doubts. I never was one to use a ceramic ball-bearing (or steel for that matter) with no water cooling. That's asking for trouble by design in my opinion.

Turbonetics turbos aren't bad, just weird. (even the versions that use water cooling use a strange 16mm X 1.5 fitting which doesn't allow for banjo style setups that need room). I'd still get it over a Precision, but if you want a good 57 trim, then just get it, or even better go to the GT series.

Go-Autoworks kits don't just work with their turbochargers.

tga 6157 here. absolutely love it. i had a boost leak at my compressor coupler last year when i got tuned, but back then it spooled about one thousand rpms later than my 57trim. defintely spoolin sooner now that i got a new coupler on it. things built pretty good in my opinion

google tga 6157 turbo. or search simply black on here.

Thanks, you are correct. They are assembled for us at/by Turbonetics. Same quality, backed by the same Turbonetics 1 year no fault/no questions asked warranty. These are normally sitting on the shelf here in house ready to ship.
The reason we removed the standard 57 trim from the options is simple: offer a better option for basically the same money (plus move what we've invested in)
Comparing the T-GA 5454 to a Garrett 57 trim; the 5454 would out perform it in every way other than possible peak HP on the top end.

Physically fitting, the T-GA 4 bolt outlet and Garrett (or whatever other standard T3/T04E w/ 4 bolt footprint) outlet is the same.

Ball Bearing option: We moreso use the non water cooled cartridge.
You can get the water cooled section with 3 different water fitting sizes now to accomodate whatever.
