It has some kind of name plate welded onto the front of the #1 runner, though...

don't even bother. they crack under their own weight.

Is that waste-gate even assumed to work effectively?

 

I'm not sure if the length of the runner would hurt the wastegates ability to function. But the original placement seems to be at the collector of the four cylinder pipes, which is good in theory.

Is it just me, or does it look like they tacked the WG on as an afterthought?

 

Looks like it merges from 2 exits into one wg flange, maybe that improves the way it works.. Y'all see that don't you?

To me, it looks like it can maybe work for 1-1/2 of the exhaust banks.
At that, I'm not even sure how well since it 90 degree turns and then has a long path to travel.
WG tube is almost as long as one of the exhaust tubes!
One of the WG tubes is large diameter and the other is tiny... that's where I get the 1/2 from.

How do you even fix that?

 

I think the number 3 cylinder is completely ungated with that manifold. Both of the pipes for the wastegate come off of the other side.

 

It's a divided collector. I'm pretty sure that it's waste gate grabs from both sides of the collector. Then again, who knows with ebay/China crap.

 

I honestly looked at it wrong. I thought there was a front and back picture of it. I hope it pulls from each side of the collector. But who knows! Most of the knock off log manifolds put the wastegate on a single cylinder.
