I assume the 97s didnt have a chip or anything fancy in it. Can I go to NAPA or Home Depot with my key to get it replaced and a spare made? The hole where the key loop goes into is split so the key wont go on a key chain.

If you need a new key take the trunk and glove box lock cylinders they'll have one made from scratch in 15 minutes. Well at least the lock smith can

 

I went to Home Depot. They TRIED to make one.. it was too long and didnt work right so i returned it lol

 

I had two keys made for my '95 at Lowe's today...both work perfectly.

 

I think i'll try Lowe's. i couldnt even understand the guy helping me haha
