Default ECU question

Didnt really notice it before or had any idea...does the ecu really blink constantly? I had my check engine light go off this morning but when I checked for codes a few minutes later...turned the ignition on then the ECU light just blinked every 3 or 4 seconds...I stopped counting after 45, haha..I hope my ecu didnt make a fool out of me for actually counting that high.

It usually only will blink a couple of times during startup while the cel is on if there are no codes. Sounds like it might be a code 1. Does it blink once and then pause and then blink again?

Its like a constant intermitent blink...looks like an alarm led light of some sort that just blinks constantly on your dash every couple of seconds...

Sounds like code #1 to me. It is the oxygen sensor. If it is the stock one that has tons of miles on it it probably needs to be replaced.

I drove down to LA and back last Sunday (800 miles) used a chipped ECU...Anyway, i posted a thread about the motor hesitating under 4000 rpm after flooring it a few times...probably ran too rich and covered the O2 with shiit. I only used the chipped ECU because I'm getting a VSS code on the stock one...I'm fixing that tonight but thats another story...Thanks folks
