i just dropped in an ls motor into my dx hb. i got it back from the shop yesterday. and they said i just had to tap my exhuast mani. for a o2 sensor. so i did hooked it all up and still the check engine light is still on. is the ecu supposed to have circle light that blinks when somethings wrong? there isnt any light on it? so how would i figure out what code my ecu is throwing?

There is a connector under the dash right above the ecu that you need to jump. Then turn the ignition on and count the blinks the ecu throws.

i know the code lights. like i said there isnt and light on the ecu

the ecu itself has no light, only the cel on the dash.

91-back has the LED on the ecu itself.

not trying to be a jackass but does anybody besides bandwangoneer understand my question. i know the 91- has a light on the ecu. im asking about the 95 ecu. how can i tell. plz read before u post stupid answers.

jump your service connector with a paper clip, then watch the check engine light blink. long blinks are the first digit, short blinks are the second. Ex. If you have 4 long blinks and 3 short ones then you have code 43. Hope that helps

ok not to be a jackass and get remarks like this, post a little more f*****g information about your problem and you wont get asinine remarks like this back. you know? elaborate. what am i a f*****g mind reader? and how stupid was my answer? if i said would you like fries with that instead, that would merit a stupid answer. yeah. where anywhere in your post does it say anything about a 95 ecu?
