ECU Question
I just put my integra back together after a long winter of sitting down. i replaced the knock sensor and a few misc heater hoses. now i turn on the car and it will start but the check engine light turns on and i hear a loud relay clicking the same time the check engine light flickers. i try to connect my snap-on diagnostic machine and it goes crazy. Can this be a bad ecu? anything else that might cause this. thanks.
My Haynes manual says code 0 (CEL) for a faulty ECU (OBDI). I'm not sure how code 0 would display. Perhaps the ECU won't show any CELs.
Can you scanner communicate with the ECU without the car running?

Your scanner's probably a piece of ****. I have the Snap-On MT2500 and I've replaced it four times in five years. Try manually gathering the codes by jumping the 2 pin connector and counting the flashes, then remove HON-1 from your data link connector and use MULTI-1 to pull up codes list.
