hello HT-ers , i got a 99 civic hatch and my cars making this weird noise. only when its in gear and only when i let go of the gas. like a scraping noise, when i accelerate , itll disappear completely. anybody else have this problem ? or had , hopefully . please let me know what you guys think it is ,

 

If you go full throttle does it go away? If you go partial throttle does it make the noise?

 

any gas will make it go away , only when coasting/foot off the gas

not sure. need a video to cumfirm.

 

Probably an input shaft bearing, or maybe you have something rubbing...or a heat shield. Or a million other guesses that won't narrow it down without looking at the car.

 

im thinking its the input shaft bearing . gonna pull it and might as well redo the clutch and replace the throw out also

 

or maybe i should ride it til it dies so i can say "hey i need a swap"
