Nitrous and turbo questions, please look need much input
Ok so Im sure every one knows that is not that hard to get 200- 220 whp out of an sohc turbo with the right tunning and parts. Thats like 100-120 whp over stock. So my question is why could this not be done with nitrous. Every where you read on bbs boards people all say that a stock block sohc will not handle a 100 shot, why not? If you had progressive controller, fuel pump, dyno time, regulator and the right timming,n20, and fuel combination, why would this not be possible? TIA
it is very possible, it's just tunning that's the issue.
EDIT: it's also the known that nitrous tends to wear a engine down quicker then turbo. this is my own opinon of course...have no hard evidence to back it up.

i dont know why people tend to blow things up quicker with nitrous. perhaps because its a direct blow to the motor and not progressive like a turbo.
also, people who play with nitrous usually didnt get a turbo due to $$$ reasons so they are not likely to spend the money for appropriate fuel management.
