Default AEM FPR + nitrous = broken internal diaphragm of AEM FPR?????

does anyone know if this is true.

a local AEM dealer was trying to tell me that with an AEM fuel pressure regulator plus nitrous, there is a great chance of the diaphragm braking inside the regulator.

any truth to this???

if this is true, what the hell is the diaphragm anyways???

i had a diaphram bust on me when running 40psi fuel pressue. this was the day after I tuned to 13lbs.

my friend busted a diaphram as well but he was running an FMU w/ high pressures.

i dont know how nitrous could cause a diaphram to break unless u r running to high of fuel pressures.

yeap, plenty of truth to it. Those AEM regulators SUCK. I'd rather have a B&M than theirs.

fuel will get all in your vacum lines and the car will have trouble starting and might die after awhile.

The funny part about this is that both times I've broken a diaphram AEM told me that they've never heard of such a problem but they had no problem sending me a new one each time

I will have to check this. No problems starting but it does die and sputter alot. And it died when all that rain came through town.

AEM regulators are designed very well but the inside construction of the diaphram is cheap and needs to be replaced. I broke a diaphram a few times tunning aem regulators, from now on I only use paxton or sx. Even the cheap weapon r regulators hold pressure better than aem.

dude take that back about weapon R regulators..... they are ***** man. that's how i blew my first motor on my accord(auto) properly installed worked for about 1year then the gasket ripped flooding my motor and blowing a rod. I will never buy anything weapon-R ever agian. their name is tight but everything they have is poorly constructed and poorly R&D. but hey just wannted to share my experice. But if it works for you then oh well

actually I think their name is completly gay. It sounds soo ricey! I would never even consider a weapon R product unless its one of their high hp gain spoilers.
