Default Confused...brake lamp indicator 96 accord coupe

Hey guys. I've been puzzled by this for more than a few months now. My brake lamp indicator randomly comes on in my dash. I've replaced all the bulbs including third brake lamp bulb. Fluid is at great level and my master cylinder is new and came with a new cap and level sensor. Any ideas to what this may be caused by or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!!

I replaced all my bulbs with LED bulbs and I always have that light on now. It makes me mad, I'm just going to pull my bulb one of these days, or hope it burns out.

same with my turn signals, I replaced with led bulbs and they flash fast like I have a bulb out, but I don't.

OP,
The brake lamp indicator has nothing to do with fluid levels or parking brakes.

It only serves to tell you there is a brakelight out. As the owners manual excerpt above shows it should only come on with key on brake applied.

The parking brake and brake system indicator warns of parking brake status and fluid issues, to include low fluid in master cylinder or loss of pressure in the braking system.

If the light at issue is the brake lamp indicator (bottom of the door open display) there is a diagnostic test on page 22-78 of the FSM for the brake light failure sensor

I was curious if my brake light switch would have anything to do with it...... Everything operates normally. It's just very irritating. I'll have to look on Isis if there are bulletins on it about it.

Is your third brake light operating properly?

Yes everything is working 100%. Like I said all bulbs are new and I have a brand new master cylinder with a new level sensor.
