Icon3 NEED HELP! 95 accord

so my ignition module went out and i had a valve cover leak and a blown head gasket, disassembled it cleaned out all the gunk everywhere, then i took it to a college my friend was going to to replace the gaskets and module. i got it back and now at low rpms the engines jumpy (not a sporadic but like a consistent surge) then it will take off fine when you give it more of gas. Its giving me a code 14 (idle air control valve) i replaced the iacv and i replaced the throttle position sensor but still the same i found alot of loose/missing nuts and bolts (i tightened and replaced what i found) then i found the head gasket was on backwards, so I replaced the gasket and put it on right in hopes that had to have been the problem, its been giving me a code 14 (idle air control valve) i replaced the iacv and i replaced the throttle position sensor but still nothing has changed i dont know what else it could be. please help thanks

(95 accord lx 4 cyl. auto trans)

Compression test the motor to see what kind of shape its in.

thanks, will do that tonight, and its also giving a code 1 (heated oxygen sensor) could this also be the problem?

Wow, sounds like you had a bad day! What is the rpm range of the fluctuation? You may need to check into the FITV. There is a way to do a "reset" on the valve. Also, have you checked the coolant level? A low coolant level can cause the FITV to operate erratically. Don't ask what FITV means, I just remember what it does. It has coolant flowing thru it and based on the temperature it adjusts idle speed. It sounds like you may be unravelling some shoddy repair work on the way, best of luck!

The engine harness ground is attached to the left side of the intake manifold(when sitting in the car). Check that it is clean and tight. Might be causing the code issues if the ground is faulty it may cause you to look for ghost codes.

In some cases the code 14 could be a bad ecu. Try testing for battery voltage at the yellow/black wire going to the iacv connector with the ignition to the on position with the car off.

As I said before, the code 14 is almost always a wiring issue, and in some cases it's the ecu. You need to test first like I said. If it's still giving you the code after resetting it and after checking the connector to be sure it's not corroded, dirty, or bent in some fashion, you may have to source another ecu.

ok found the problem the iacv plug was switched with one that goes into the intake manifold so that problem is fixed, but now both my condenser and radiator fan wont turn on checked the relay and its good, tested them directly from the battery and the condenser fan turned on but not the radiator fan could the bad condenser fan cause that? And the car is a little hesitant on acceleration (it idle revs fine) but its just kinda slow to take off then it catches up fine,
