Default Need help to depin and repin an OBD2 alternator connector (solved)

I cracked the alternator connector on my 00 Civic EX.

HondaPartsHero graciously sent me a replacement connector (see below).

Rather than cut off the old plug and solder on the new one, I'd instead like to depin the old and new connectors and then just slide my harness pins into the new connector.

HondaPartsHero believes that removal of the blue inner piece of the connector is the first step, but I can't figure out how to get it out.

Anybody have experience doing this job with this type of connector?

Edit: The blue inner piece is easily removed by gently prying outward from the pair of indented tabs seen at the bottom of the blue peice in the picture.

Now I'm working on removing the pins. Trying to figure out where to press or lift the pin to free it for removal. Any thoughts?

it should be just like the ecu, press the little plastic keeper tab at the end of the pin and gently pull

That's pretty much it. Looking deep into the face of the connector, there's a square keeper tab at the rear/base of the metal pin that must be lifted away from pin and then the wire can be pulled out from the rear of the connector. I'll post pictures when I have some time.

I also found these Service Bulletins about connector pin removal helpful:

Honda Service Bulletin 95-023 (1995)

Acura Service Bulletin 00-039 (2000)

Honda Service Bulletin 00-099 (2000)

To RonJ@HT
Thank you for trying to help, but "Need help to depin and repin an OBD2 alternator connector" is not the issue of my post.
It is about finding the correct Female Terminal/Pin for Connectors C556 & C557 designed for 14 - 20 AWG wire.

TSB's 00-039 (Acura) and 00-099 (Honda) are essentially identical.
The Terminal listings on Pg's 1 and 2 are the same for both TSB's.
