Help just got a DC4 and it dies on the way home
Hey everyone i'm back after a 3-4 year hiatus went ford v8 for a while then a vw but the snow storm this winter killed the crown vic and the hail totalled out the vw. so I been carless for a while living on my motorcycle and that has been great but we have a bunch of rain coming and i need four wheels. so I went looking for honda/acura and found a decent looking DC4 not to far from my work. So i went and took a look at it and we talked the guy down to a price i felt comfortable with. The car is clean on the outside with only a little rust in the wheel well (oh so common) no signs of oil leaks strong motor and trans a fairly stiff suspension for a bone stock 98 Integra DC4 (2d sorry not super familiar with acura names I'm an ek guy)
We left with half a tank put in some oil and coolant both low. fuel was at half a tank so we said ehh thats plenty to get us home, and went home buddy behind me. 10 miles from home I lost all power and the car sputtered out. I thought we ran out of gas. because the fuel gauge didn't move since we started it up. but we only put 30-40 miles on it or so so maybe it moved a bit dont know. regardless got gas put 2 gallons in and she wont turn over. cranks all day but wont turn over. we tried to bump start we couldnt get enough speed for it to take. so I'm coming to you guys for help. I hear the fuel pump run so I dont think that is the issue. I smell gas in the fuel rail. the motor was warm so i didn't want to pull plugs. So someone told me that it might be air in the fuel line, and that i need to purge the fuel system. but i have no idea how to do that. so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome.
If someone has any other ideas that would be awesome. I need to do this on the side of the road if i can so that would be cool if we have some easy solutions that would be cool.

I would check for spark if at all possible. Did you hear any noises when it happened? Timing belt could've let go, though if that happened you definitely should've heard some loud noises. Wouldn't hurt to check easy things like EFI/ECU fuses if you haven't already. Could be something like the ignition coil, distributor, or a crank sensor if it's not getting spark.
Unlikely to be air in the fuel line, but to "purge" it, disconnect banjo fitting at fuel filter and turn on the ign., a pop can and a rag will be handy as fuel should run from the fuel line for a few sec. ones ign. is turned on, [fuel pump priming].
Also a good time to replace the fuel filter.
As mentioned, check for spark, you will need an HEI spark tester, [$10-$15 at any car parts store] DO NOT pull a spark plug lead and use a screw driver, you can damage the coil.
The coil and ICM are common problems on our cars. 94
