Help... 04 LX sedan
As if the economy isn't bad, My fiance 2 days ago told me she started the car for her lunch break to come home and it started to shake she drove it a little leaving her work it shut off. She turned it back on and got home safely and told me. My friend and i checked the battery connection and i filled up the take and put a fuel injection cleaner in yesterday. Now today she got off for break again and started the car.. it then shook again and she said she turned it off after a min... then she turned it on and it was okay./. she cam home and went back to work.. 3-4 hours later she gets off work and it did it again.... it seems to be getting worst and i have no idea what is wrong... i have reasons to believe it is only when it is cold and i have yet to be in the car when it happens.
Any advice would help
notes: 61,000 miles on the car i bought it used back in oct. with 57,000 miles... and i got my second oil change, tires, and alignment just 3-4 weeks ago.
Car has not had any issues until now..

If this were a V6, I would suspect the fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump. If it's an I4 the Oxygen sensor would be my guess. Only guessing though.

Re: Help... 04 LX sedan
I4... cel is not on. no flashing lights... it happened again his morning.. the car turns on and starts stuttering/shaking.. not really any noise and once i give it gas it got worst.. i had to turn it off and turn it back on...
The battery cables look fine, and it only started to happen recently, i'm getting worried...
do you guys think it is the iacv(sp?) i been reading in the older accord forums and heard that thrown around perhaps that may be it?
i read around some people posted spark plugs, and timing belt.... i have no idea but i just don't want it to get worst

I think if it were the timing belt, it would not come and go (it would be constant). The iacv sounds like a possiblity or some sensor giving an intermittent false reading.

Re: Help... 04 LX sedan
thurs i added fuel injection cleaner, yesterday i changed the air filter, and this morning i changed the spark plugs... since i changed the air filter yesterday i drove and it didn't happen, this morning i changed the spark plugs which did need to be changed as they were rusted and what not... so far so good... i hop it took care of the problem...
i see a belt to the left side of the engine which is rubber... i though that would be the timing belt....
on a side note i don't see anywhere where i can find a how to clean iacv on a 04 honda accord... without buying the book can anyone help me out with that?

That belt you see is the drive belt. It drives the alternator and a/c compressor. You have a timing chain. Even if it was a timing belt, you could not see it (there are covers over the timing belt/chain). The spark plugs, or even a very dirty air filter could have been your problem (I suspect the plugs).
