Valve clearance Question
When adjusting the valves, do u base the measurement off of the head or the block of the engine. and do the type of pistons affect this?
because my dilemma is i swapped out my stock b18a1 from my 90 da9. and put a b18b block with pr3 pistons and kept the b18a head.
its running rich and i cant seem to find the culprit. timings on point, new timing belt, water pump,cat,o2 sensor, ect.
its annoying and i want to get her running like she used to.
any help/advice/tips is appreciated.

It is based on the head. So do it for a b18a. I do not think it is a likely suspect if you are running rich. What leads you to believe you are getting too much fuel?
just took it to get smogged the other day and failed bcuz its running extremely rich. the tech thought it was wierd how it runs so good with such bad numbers.
how do i stop getting SO much fuel in my engine??!?!?
