Piston-to-Valve clearance question for G23 build
I'm getting a good deal on a worked h22a head off my buddy. It's shaved .020" and is running type s cams with flat faced valves. Does anyone know if I'd have PTV clearance issues with k20a2 pistons In the F23 block? Has anyone shaved their head this much on this build, or does anyone have any suggestions on pistons I can run and still be okay? Not sure how accurate the zealautowerks calculator is but it's saying I'm going to have a -.020" piston to deck height, which wouldn't that mean I'm most likely going to smack valves or do I not understand that right? Can someone help me out lol so I don't ruin a head with over 2k into it lol

right. or do it yourself.
91_da9, there are too many unknowns, too many variables to have this answered on here. this is a perfect example of when an engine should be "clayed" for clearances. Even if I were to tell you "yes, in fact it will be fine," I won't be responsible for replacing a blown engine if it fails. You will. Measure it yourself to know it's right. Or, pay a professional who can give you a guarantee.
