So my 92 eg with a d16z6 swap is throwing blue or white smoke when I crack vtec and only in vtec does anyone know what it could be? No lose of power at all

 

Blue smoke, in VTEC, is almost always oil burning. Check your oil levels.

 

Also vtec on the Z6 is minimum 4800 RPM. I don't have vtec but that's about the range I start smoking and I have solid 200 compression on all 4 cylinders. So more than likely oil control rings for me. Smoke only at high RPM usually WOT even though I can get it at 3/4 throttle just not as severely.

You could have a similar issue. If you get good compression numbers and don't smoke on take off until 4800+ rpm or smoke on deceleration, then you can pretty much rule out valve seals typically and the usual diagnosis is weak/bad oil control rings.
