Is it safe to start engine with turbo with no headers or exhaust on it to check for leaks or anything that might be wrong? As long as I dont rev it up I should be safe right?

At least put a down pipe on it. Exhaust can blow all sorts of junk everywhere, and it will be too loud/hot/turbulent to effectively check for any leaks or noises.

Thank you mad Mike. Well use my down pipe to check everything out. Just didn't want to warp valves or anything was my main concern.
