Default Parking brake light won't go off after changing drums.

Today I changed my drum brakes. After adjusting the drums breaks so there was a slight drag. I put everything back together and went to adjust my parking brake. I noticed the parking brake light was on while the handle was (fully down). When I raised in the parking brake light brightens a tad bit, but when I put it back down it dims a bit, but still does not shut off. What could of caused this was working fine before?

Check the brake fluid level. Sometimes the float on GM trucks gets stuck at the bottom......

Yeah, today I looked, and my fluid level was low. I forgot to top it up the last when I bleed the last cylinder. Then when I got in my car put the e-brake down the light went off. So the float in the master, will send a signal to your car when the fluid level is low? I did not know that. At least on a older car this age.
