Hey guys, going to be changing my clutch. Do you guys think it would be worth it, to put new synchros in the tranny while it is out? Also replacing the pilot bearing or any other bearings ?? Anything else i should change if my tranny is out?

Currently my tranny does not grind.

 

replacing synchros is not a "easy" task they're not too expensive $250 but I can tell you the labour to install them is not cheap. pilot bearing is like the TOB gets replaced with the flywheel.

 

Don't open the trans up if nothing is wrong. The clutch kit should come with a new throw out and pilot bearing. I would recommend an exedy clutch kit.

 

Thanks guys. And I was just wondering because like what if down the road i need to change the synchros, going to have to take off the tranny again thats what i was getting at.

Synchros will outlast the car if you're not driving around like a fruitcake, banging thru and grinding gears and you use the correct fluids at the correct intervals.
