I have a boosted B18b1sleeved block bored out to a b20 piston with a 96 vtec del sol head. Thought I had a ls transmission but come to find out its a ys1.. I.need to know what clutch/ flywheel and synchros to get!?!

 

well I'm assuming it's a hydro(you have a Clutch master/slave) in which case all the hydro b series trans are the same. get what ever so long as it says for hydraulic trans.

 

What's the difference between the cable and hydro?

 

one uses the oh so common clutch master cylinder and slave via hydraulics or more so brake fluid like your brakes. And the other I have no real experience with I HIGHLY doubt it's a cable those are old tech

 

It is a 92 integra but I wouldn't know it's was cable or not. Just trying to finish up getting the part to get it on the road. I just need clutch, flywheel, synchros and 1000 cc injectors. Just got the b20 forged pistons in the other day

look here if you have a tiny little bottle with liquid then you have a hydro trans...

 

Nice. I thought about buying a auto da and switching it to a manual.. just to be sure tho, this ys1 is a b16 trans.. ls or no.. I bought ls synchros and it was wrong..

 

ys1 is designated to b16's and came in Hydro and cable...

 

DA's have a cable trans. Im almost 100% positive.

This can be evidenced by a large cable going into the trans.

It uses a cable to disengage the clutch instead of hydraulics.

Since you have a DA, you don't have master or slave cylinder. You have a cable.

HOWEVER....you can put a hydro trans into a cable car via a cable to hydro kit.

Do you have a cable trans? Or is it hydro? If you have a cable trans, just buy a clutch for a DA. If its hydro, buy a clutch for any hydro B series car (civic, integra...various years).

Post a picture of the trans if you're unsure.
