92 honda civic grinding noise and won't start
Will make a grinding noise when trying to start and it won't ten if I give it a min and start it again it starts fine with no problem ! (( sorry if I posted this in the wrong place new to website ))
Sorry 92 honda civic do with a d16 a motor in it and its manual transmission just for some back round info and we just swaped from a d15 to the d16 about 3 months ago
Starter teeth and/or flywheel teeth are damaged. Probably just the starter teeth though can't be sure without inspecting the car. Replacing the starter is fairly easy even for a novice while replacing the flywheel is quite a bit more involved. Fingers crossed that just needs the starter replaced. Good Luck.
Well we just replaced the starter like 3 weeks ago .. The engine is a 96-2000 d16 an the starter is for a 92-95 d15 could that be a problem ? It matched up so we didn't think it was a big denal ... My husband and I do all the work on our cars but this one is stumping us

just by comparing part numbers those two starters are different. are you getting any cel codes? possibly a bad starter, weak battery, loose starter wire.
