Default Wideband

I have a turbo 89 crx. Has anybody ever wires up the plx wideband. Need help thanks

Oh dear god.

How did you get a turbo CRX?



It's very easy to wire. I'm nearly positive all you need is a ground, switched power, and a place to put it. You can wire it to the ECU, but if the car is already tuned there really is no need. You'll need an O2 bung on your downpipe, 36" after the turbo I think. That's what my AEM suggested (iirc). Maybe it was 18", read the install instructions.

Widebands are super easy. You do need a special drill bit to drill into pipe though. Keep that in mind.

wire it to the ecu for what reason? what display are you using? i had the PLX SM-AFR wired to my tunerview

Yes it is the plx sm-AFR want to wire it to the ecu to have a better tune. I'm running hondata s300 on it also

Wiring a wideband will not enable a better tune.

Certainly it will allow the tuner an easier way to accurately determine what fuel changes need to be made during the tune allowing a more efficient tuning process and more accurate IMHO.

I always recommend and ask customers to install a wideband and wire the voltage output to the ECU for LOGGING and tuning purposes.

I agree. My point was more along the lines that the wideband O2 sensor itself will not change the current tune.
