Need diagram of ac belt layout
My haynes has nothing specific on the ac belt layout, like how the idler pulley is suppose to be positioned. I got an ac belt frim autozone buti think it may be to small.
The idler pushes up on the belt.

BTW I found that picture by doing this http://lmgtfy.com/?q=91+civic+ac+belt and then going to images.

Oh, sorry for posting dumb questions, but since it pushes up, that implies that the belt must be big enough to go over the compressor, the pulley and the crank?
The "adjusting bolt" is there to manipulate the position of the idler pulley. I believe you must loosen the "idler pulley center nut" before you make any adjustments.
Makes sure theres a special washer between the pully and the thin metal seal.
Easily forgotten and misplaced and installed incorrectly. Your pulley will not work properly if it's missing or installed incorrectly. If you don't know what washer I'm talking about or don't have it, stop and look at the helms manual.
