Default Need a new muffler trouble finding inlet d size

Hi guys, I am planning on getting a new muffler, but i am having a hard time figuring out my intel diameter.

How can i find my intel size without taking the exhuast out, can i just measure it from the outside and find the diameter of the circumference of the pipe?

i know that i can get a different size from the pipes and the guy who is dealing with the exhuast can make it fit. but i want 2 have the right size so that the guy doesn't charge me extra for making it fit.

Must be a Chevy Volt we're talking about. Unless it's bolt on you'll get charged. It's universal. Weld-on.

I did, i got 1.5'' for the diameter, and that is the stock. Do i just get a 2.25 the smallest and the muffler shop just make it fit for me?
