Strange clutch problems
Alright guys, so I'm back. I've posted about having clutch problems before, but I'm pretty tired of it.
Some background, my 94 Integra was having some strange clutch problems. The car would run just fine, shifting, taking off, everything was running well. As soon as it would get to operating temp, ( probably a little bit over since I live in Tucson, AZ) my clutch pedal pressure would be so stiff. When I would try to take of in gear, my car wouldn't move and my RPM's would spike, acting as if I was in neutral. Again, this only happened when it was hot outside, or I had been driving for a good amount of time (1hr or more).
I replaced my slave, and master, bleed the system really well. Worked for a while, and went back to the same problem. I went and bought a Exedy Stage 1 clutch. I had it replaced, and it helped a lot.
In the last few days, when I push down on the clutch, it makes a terrible whirling sound, as if something is rubbing against something wrong. Sometimes I can't even get into gear, and now it's spiking RPM's. Only, when it's hot or I've been driving for a while.
I need some advice, I'm thinking of buying a new master cylinder cause I thought that could be the reason. But I'm tired of this mysterious problem, that multiple mechanics that I've talked to can't figure out.
If anyone knows, let me know! Thanks.

Off the bat have you checked your MTF level and what fluid are you using? did YOU install the clutch, whirling when the clutch is depressed would be the TOB 9 times out of 10.
I haven't checked the MTF level. I didn't do the replacement myself, I had a mechanic do it, due to a tight schedule. He told me that my old clutch looked very new and didn't seem to have much wear. I didn't really think about the tranny. Could my tranny be going bad?
Second question, why would it only be acting up when the car is hot?

Could be that's the next thing to start looking into, as for why when hot lets say you're low on MTF for what ever reason you'd notice it more when hot then starting off. Why? it's like engine oil run an engine dry and get ready for a scrap block same deal with a the trans, it's not too likely tho if a shop did it. it's a lube and is meant to keep things going when the car is running things get pretty hot in the trans so that's where I'm coming from
it almost sounds like low mtf considering you say it won't go in gear, but the pedal being hard confuses me what I would do is...1:drain/fill with 10-30 oil as recommended by Honda for our trans 2:get some dot 4 brake fluid and give it one more go 3:check/adjust the clutch pedal enguameant point.
Well when I drop speed the car bogs, and wobbles. Only when it's hot. Myabe that can clear up what it could be? I thought maybe the clutch was installed wrong, but it runs awesome when the car is cool.
I'm still going to say it has something to do with the fluid it's self that has been used or low/incorrect MTF. otherwise I will let someone else who knows transmissions them self's better, instead of giving random possibilities the trans/CHS is all mechanical.

I'm going to guess the clutch isn't properly adjusted. It probably has no freeplay at the top of the pedal travel. Meaning the clutch is always being slightly depressed. When it gets hot, it starts to slip.
There may have been incorrect fluid in the trans also. If some fruitcake put ATF in the trans, it may cause gear lockout when hot.

If the master cylinder has been replaced and the freeplay has NOT been adjusted, then this would be my first guess too. Especially if the problem gets worse the longer the vehicle is driven.
I would actually check the pressure plate. A damaged pressure plate could indicate the issues that you were having before you replaced the clutch. Check the teeth and springs and for cracks. The new issues that you're having might also indicate that this pp coupled with an incorrectly installed clutch disc are causing the new issues that you're experiencing.
I wouldnt skip out on checking the MTF. Since you said that it happens more when the car is hot. Oil helps a lot in the thermal expansion of the rotating assemblies of the transmission.
