Default 1995 Integra Gsr swap

I just bought a gsr and partially completed the swap with a B20 as the car had a LS motor rather than the GSR. I bought a JDM B20B motor and have almost everything working, however I blew the return coolant line, the U shaped one off the intake section that goes to the head and spewed fluid all over the vehicle speed sensor and when I tried to fix the line I popped all the wires out of the plug and now I have no speedo. I can't find any fuses burned out and I have tried every configuration for the wires but still no speedo. I am assuming I burned out the sensor when the fluid spewed all over it. Question is where do I find a low cost sensor as my budget it gone at the moment and I really want the speedo to work so I don't get a speeding ticket. Next part is, I am waiting on my next budget to become available and want to know what else I should do to make this a nice car both with speed and comfort. I am using the B20B manual tranny, and OBD1 wiring harness. I know I still need a new P74 or P75 ecu as its running a sohc ecu, and I already have that on its way. I am new to the building community and not sure where I can get good parts for good costs. Also wondering if I should find a B18C Vtec head to put on the B20B or if I should rebuild the B18B LS head or not even bother. Any help would be appreciated.

I just read that entire paragraph and I still have no idea what car or engine you have. I think you just broke the internet...

You can probably find a VSS on Ebay or the marketplace here. However a VSS fault should return a CEL. Do you have a CEL?

Okay to explain. I have a 1995 Acura Integra GSR that I just bought. It had a B18B LS Motor in it that was not working well. Someone who had it before me swapped out the gsr B18C motor from it as well as the P74 or P75 ecu. It currently has an ecu that is for a SOHC so obviously it runs like crap. I just put in a B20B JDM motor in it, however after driving for a bit, one of the old hoses blew, the coolant return hose from the intake to the block, that "U" shaped hose? When I attempted to pull the old hose, I pulled the wires out of the clip from the VSS or vehicle speed sensor aka speedometer sensor. I put them back in every combination that it could be but it is still not working. As to the comment that it should pull a CEL? I don't know what that is. Sorry again I am new to cars generally. I have no lights in the dash going off, other than the ABS light but that's a different issue. My speedometer in the dash will not read the speed. I checked all the fuses under the dash and in the engine bay but haven't found any burned out. My only guess is I burned out the sensor when radiator fluid spewed all over it but I am not sure, hence the question if there was something I missed and/or where do I find a cheap replacement since autozone wants 170 for a new one and I haven't the budget to spend that much on a small sensor and eBay doesn't seem to have it for a manual tranny.

My other questions were about what I should do to upgrade the motor by either putting the old B18B head on after I refurbish it, or find a Vtec version and do the same, or leave it alone and just play with what I have by beefing up the cams, pistons, fuel rail, intake and exhaust, etc. Where can I find a good place to buy those parts for a decent cost and quality since I am not keen on being ripped off.

Maybe that's what happened to the VSS. The point is, a faulty VSS should throw a CEL (a check engine light in the gauge cluster). Honestly I can't believe you don't have one given what you've described. Does the CEL light up when you turn the ignition power on? So you know the light works?

It turns on after I engage the clutch after driving up to 4th gear, otherwise it won't come one. I have driven around town for days without it going on, and then it will pop on, kinda randomly. Yes the light turns on during the light alert test when you turn the key.
