Default Ballistic1350's LSVTEC BB STC Reaper results

A couple weeks back the car was wrapped up and put on the dyno at 4130 Fabrication and was tuned by Randy @RSTech-racing, I'm really impressed with what the car did on 93 pump. It should be nasty once I get everything straightened out with the block... long story short the block is cracked at the bung for the oil pressure sensor. It gushes oil enough to where I shouldn't drive the car and need to get it repaired asap. So I spent the last week pulling the block and taking it back to the machinist who built it, since he should have caught the crack in the first place. So I haven't even been able to drive the car. I still can't get over how well this turbo did on pump alone, really glad I'm ditching my STI.

Quick rundown on parts:
B18a RS machine open deck block
84 mm manley pistons
turbo tuff rods
ARP mainstuds
ACL bearings
ARP headstuds
ATI damper
Ported GSR Head
Toda Springs
Ferrara Valves
Bronze guides
ITR cams
AEM cam gears
Skunk2 ultra street intake manifold
Skunk2 74mm throttlebody
Hondata COP with s2000 coils
Ball Bearing STC Reaper from TheShodan with high temp coating on exhaust housing
Go-autoworks Ramorn with high temp coating and downpipe
Tial 44mm wastegate
Full 3" exhaust
DEI titanium wrap and turbo blanket
ID1000 injectors
Walbro in tank pump
Aeromotive FPR
Skunk2 composite rail

Tuned on Hondata s300v2 made 563whp and 439ft-lbs on 18 psi 93 pump gas

Thanks again to TheShodan for my many pm's about what turbo to run and of course the turbo, Wayne @4130, and Randy for the tune

Why such a bad drop off after 7k? Because of the oil issue?

Probably because of the itr cams. I was going to run skunk2 pro 1 cams with my ported head, but the max lift on my toda springs don't allow me to run them. Maybe in the future I'll upgrade but till them I just want the car running with no issues

If anyone has any ideas otherwise I'm all ears though, this is my first Honda after all

Very nice. What was final compression? 9ish?
I hope the block is repairable.

Yeah its a little over 9 since the pistons were 9.0 however the head and block have been decked a few times.

I'll agree with you there, I actually dropped the motor off over the weekend, so they should be tearing it apart now. I'd hate to scrap a sleeved block over something as stupid as a little crack on the outside of it

Worst case they can weld it shut and you can move the oil sensor.

This same thing happened with my first LSV....I caught it on the first startup since my whole driveway was covered in oil.....sucked that this ruined my first starup/break-in but instead of trying some stupid **** like JB welding it I used an NPT tap to thread as deep into the oil pressure port as i could then carefully brushed the shavings out with countless Q-tips, then plugged it with an NPT plug and fair amount of RTV sealant.

I was forced to use a donut for the oil line to VTEC but it all helded up and worked out fine afterwards, relocated the oil pressure sensor to the donut too .....had that motor for 2.5 yrs....

Yeah we tried the whole tap it then plug it route... still leaked everywhere. Little update from the shop, def going to weld it shut and just run without the sensor

i would think the itr cams would carry past 8k. Not sure how much the porting would affect that. Whats the max lift on the springs you have? Your losing 2k of powerband basically. A engine built like yours should be able to carry power to 9500 easily. 9000 if you wanna be conservative. With a proper cam of course. Gsc t1 would work great but require at least 85lbs seat pressure. Skunk2 tuner1s have been shown to work well also.

the Toda's have a max lift of 12.5mm. The GSC T1s would be great however thats cash I don't have at this point. I agree seems weird that it falls off so much up high

My buddy cracked his block just taking that damn sensor off lol. Ended up patching it with some aircraft jb weld type stuff and it worked surprisingly.

I think you need to open the plenum up on that intake. It shouldnt nosedive at 8k

Whats the boost curve look like? Is it holding peak boost to redline or tapering off? If so by how much?

So what are you using as boost control? and what spring is in that 44mm gate?

I have seen ITR cams carry power to nearly 9K many times. Something doesn't seem right. The more boost you ran, the sooner it peaked, and fell off a cliff each time.
