My internal blower won't turn off and my A/C is not working
This Sunday the air conditioning of my Civic LX 06/06 stopped working. The A/C button lit does nothing when called.
After researching, I found that the problem could be the resistor of the air conditioning and, in fact, the thermal fuse was open so I replaced for a new one, since it was cheap.
What happens now is when I turn the ignition, the internal fan turns at maximum speed, regardless of the position of the speed switch - even in the off position and even with cables unplugged from the control panel buttons ( I thought the problem could be the speed switch so I removed the center console and cables to test - to me it should cut the energy that goes to the fan, but nothing happened and the blower still at full blast) .
The air conditioning didn't go on, although the light comes on when I turn on the switch. The strange thing is that if I get the a/c button on and off several times, suddenly the compressor starts and begins to cool intensely inside, which indicates no problem with the gas, in my mind, but in a few seconds, minutes, it shuts down and does not return.
Does anyone have any idea what can be? Searching further, I found that the problem may be the mosfet transistor that lies within the resistor, but I'd tested and not come to a definitive conclusion... Can it be damaged?
