1993 Del Sol 1.6 4th cylinder not sparking correctly
My car has been giving me a 43 code, fuel supply system, for a while now. I was thinking that this would be the reason for my poor performance. Recently, I noticed when I take out the spark plug wires from the valve cover, my idle pretty low. This is normal. However, on my 4th cylinder, the idle barely drops. I've changed all plugs, wires, and cap. The spark is more of an orangish color, with some white. From what Ive read, the spark is supposed to be white. I'm thinking I may need to change the distributor itself. I found one from a buddy who is willing to sell me one for 50 bucks and it's practically new. What are the other options that I should do? What else could be causing this? Could this be what is throwing my 43 code? My engine sometimes sounds like it's going to die randomly in 1st gear. Happens About twice a week.
