i just traded one of my eg hatches for a 93 del sol project. The car was running fine for the past 3 weeks did a normal tune up(head gasket distributor cap, rotor, brakes, oil, an degreased the motor) recently when i start the car the car wont jump to 1200 rpm an hold it jumps to 500 idles low somtime raises up sometimes drops in idle then sends a check engin code but when the car is turnd off it wont store the code, it happens every now an then. the fuel pump is priming an i used a spark tester to test the spark plug wires an there firing, just somtime it'll do this during the day an other times it'll start up just fine?

Sounds like a stuck or bad fast idle thermal valve, unless your tune up and cleaning did something. A vacuum leak would be the first thing to look for. Did you cause a break or enlarge one while doing your tune up? If not, your next step would be to look at this guide for trouble shooting idle problems: http://www.superhonda.com/foru...94634
