Default Weird idle issue

I have a manual 2000 Honda civic d16y7 with 200 000 km on it. I have this weird idle issue that only happens in stop and go traffic, while driving in stop and go traffic for about 15-20 min my car start idling at like 1500 rpm then 3-5 min later at 2000 rpm then 3-5 min later at 2500 and it just keeps getting higher and higher, then after I get out of traffic and drive for about 3-5 min in 4th gear and come to a stop my idle is back to normal.

Inspect your car for any vacuum leaks... and/or lose or disconnected vacuum lines. If everything checks out, clean your IACV.

Here's a good run down on what you will need and how to do it.

Clean the throttle body and adjust the throttle cable to have some slack/free play.

Sure sounds like the throttle plate is sticking open. You might want to try cleaning it again.

What CEL codes?
