Re: Si & EX transmission Question
I am not sure. There is a guy in VA that has a pile of civics behind his shop or something he is parting out. I would probably have to go out there and pick and pull. He has a craigslist add for a "2000 Honda Civic SE" automatic. I dont even know what an SE is i just assumed he meant SI.

Re: Si & EX transmission Question
I'm guessing you aren't talking USDM, since the USDM SI doesn't have an automatic option.
If you're talking CDM, the answer is still no. The CDM '00 SI has the D16Y8, whereas the CDM 96-00 EX has the D16Y7. The transmissions have different gear ratios, and because they are controlled by the TCU (which is integrated into the ECU), you'll throw a CEL, and the car won't shift correctly.

Re: Si & EX transmission Question
Since you seem to be having a hard time figuring out what trim they are, look at the VIN. The first three digits should be 1HG. The second three digits should be either EJ6, or EJ8. The second three digits from the donor car need to match the recipient car.
