Default Squeaky stops on my eg

So sometimes when I come to a stop the right (I think front) wheel squeaks. It doesn't only do it when I brake just sometimes when I am slowing down and taking off slowly.. Is it my brakes or something else in the wheel rotating assembly?

I don't know. Have you bothered to LOOK at the brakes? Maybe it's time to change the pads? Etc?

Check the easiest things first. Jack up the car, and press on your front wheels, with one hand on 12 o'clock and the other at 6 o'clock to see if there is any movement. There should not be any.

In addition, sometimes the brake pads may be worn down so much to that it will squeak regardless if you're braking or not. It might also be best to inspect your slide pins to ensure that they can move freely, as well.

If the brake pads/slide pins check out just fine, inspect the metal clips on the caliper to ensure they're not rubbing against the rotor.

Let us know what you get from this.

Okay, thanks. Could it also be that my rotor needs to be shaved?

Let's play the game "guess the squeak without looking at the car".

Is there a mouse?
Are you a schizophrenic who is not on his meds and is hearing mice?
Brakes?
Ball joints?
Squeak toy?
Can you give us more clues?
Colonel Custard in the library with a candle stick?
Is it a mouse?

Cot dangit this is a good *** game!! We can follow it up by playing "I didn't want to look so I thought I'd waste time making people on the internet guess blindly (literally and figuratively)....but now I'll have to take a look anyway in order to fix it."
