Default Brake squeel when slightly turning right, warped rotor?

Ok, it doesnt happen all the time, but every now and then, I will get a brake squeel from my passenger side front wheel, and its always the worst when the wheel is turned around 8-10 degrees right. While it MAY be my imagination, it is worst when my AC is on, but it is most certainly the brake since it instantly stops when I apply the brakes. It started a few weeks ago and so I changed my front pads...they needed it too. I payed around $72 for some new pads and now it still does it. Any ideas? I do not feel a wobble when I apply the brakes.. I tried to highlight the main ideas...thanks guys.

during your turn, if the squeel comes and goes, oscillates (sp), then its a slightly warped rotor, constant squeel, I like to take the pads out and rub them on concrete in a figure 8 pattern until all of the surface is marred, and try again.

ok, assuming my rotors are the same ones that came on my car, would it be wise to replace them anyways, considering they are 14 years old?

If you have the spare change, go for it.

did you put grease on the back of the pad and all other contact points? (disc brake stop squeal)

Did you check the dust shield? Once my dust shield was bent so when I went over bumps it rubbed against the rotor and make such a squeaking noise it sounded like a screen door opening. I just took a screwdriver and mashed the dust shield away from the rotor.

Ok...news...

So now BOTH wheels are making that squeel every now and then. Also, last night I notice that as I was rolling back VERY slowly, it sounded as if the brake was being applied slightly. The squeel isnt "on and off" and once it makes the squeel, its always the same pitch....any suggestions? The only thing weird i've done lately is add some brake fluid...but it might have been a different brand than what I had.

One of my calipers was touching my rotor when i turned hard right due to the axle nut not being tightened fully after a motor swap.

Gouged the **** outta my rotor

if i were you i would goto autozone and buy the drilled slotted rotors some ceramic pads new calipers )they have a pretty nice set of rotors for like 175 for both side 3 year warranty good deal!ceramic pads are 50 bucks and the calipers are i belive under 75 without core charge added in) new huge bottle of brake fluid (sythentic)replace it all! makeing sure the dust cover is bent back far enough to clear the rotor about a 1/4 inche, and run lotts of new brake fluid through your car until it looks clean even in the rear! make sure you spray the back with Permatex anti squeel (works the best and it is easy and never messy)comes in a rattle can! and if that dont work then do the back brakes too, or you could have an assistant stand along side of the car and you make it make the noise to be sure it is the fron and not the back(i had the back doing that sounded like the fronts so i replaced and low and behold it was the back i only realized it after i spent 300+ on front brakes LOL)hope this helped you

jack it up and take off the wheel turn wheels to percisly where it makes the noise and turn by hand looking and listening for anything touching ok that is the esiest best way to see what the problem is!

Make sure your car is ok with synthetic brake fluid, may only use DOT 3 or 4, dont add silicone type if it does not require it. DOT 4 has a higher boiling point than 3 but if yu change it regular like, you will keep the water out anyways. DOT 3 & 4 are hydroscopic, soaks in water moisture over time.
