1997 Del Sol - speedometer/odometer problems
Hey there, first time poster here! Thanks in advance for your help I hope I can be a contributing member soon.
I have a '97 Del Sol and the Instrument Panel is messed up. This is the deal:
Speedometer:
Works intermittently, will suddenly shoot to zero, and then back up to the correct speed
Odometer:
Stopped at 115k and some change. Once in a blue moon it will crank over a few miles, then it stops again for weeks.
Has this happened to any of you? Does the instrument panel need to be replaced? If so, is that a pain in the rear? It certainly seems like it should be.
I've removed an engine, replaced a transmission, repaired a head gasket and done numerous other projects on various Honda's. Should I try and tackle this one? The car probably has 200k miles on it, but the odometer is broke
Thanks!
