From: i'm on a boat mthrfkr don't u ever forget!
so last year i did my first dpfi > obd1 swap. and what a nightmare. for the loongest time the car only ran with certain wires switched around on the ecu. (CKP and CYP). why i had no idea because i had followed and checked thousands of times my wiring. and soldered joints, everything. total ******* nightmare..
i'm now going through my harness again as i put a different motor in and remembering what a cluster F*** it was. i even checked the jumper harness i had bought and thought it was all sorts of messed up. come to find out.
it WAS partially the harness and myself that was wrong.
now if some one can be so kind as to fix this mishap (somehow) it'd be greatly appreciated.. i wouldn't want anyone to go through what i did.
take a look at pins c1 c2 b10 b12 (CKP and CYP) on this thread here :
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/d-i-y-faq-obd-0-obd-1-pinouts-conversion-help-1319235/
also note how it says at the top " MPFI OBD-0 to OBD-1 " when its actually a mosh-up of dpfi and mpfi
now make note of those same pins on this diagram:
http://hondaswap.blogspot.com/2007/0...n-pinouts.html
^^^ this is actually the correct one.
the first one is technically correct if you weren't first converting to mpfi like 90% of everybody tells you too..
just trying to save a lil headache since i know these are the same two threads found on the "frequently asked questions thread"
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/88-91-crx-ef-civic-frequently-asked-questions-faqs-1508680/
EDIT the jumper harness i bought was a MADFABLAB obd0 ==> obd1 jumper harness.. it is accurate according to this conversion https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1319235 .. however if youre doing ur dpfi conversion first (as you're recomended) then it will end up wrong.. because once you move c1 and c2 to b10 and b12. you'll end up switching your ckp and cyp wires around and not even realizing it. BUT this is as long as u follow this diagram to finish..https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1319235
