Default F22A head - To p&p, or not

Alrighty, I've been tinkering with the idea of a mild rebuild on an F22A1 engine for a while (just doing research for now, I'm quite a ways off from doing it).

The engine I have now has a high-flow intake with a K&N filter, DC Sports 4-2-1 header going to a 2.5 inch downpipe all managed by the Prelude P12 ECU.

The main thing I want to modify with a rebuild is the camshaft to which I'm looking towards the Bisimoto Level 1 or 2. Basically, I'm looking for a mild built "air in air out" setup, but the question I have is if it is worth it to port and polish the head? I already know the stock F22A heads flow exceptionally well and port and polish work varies wildly in price (you get what you pay for). So with the build I'm looking towards, will p&p'ing the head net me any noticeable gains, or are the factory ports plenty good enough for my purposes?

I'd always said I'd have a shop do it though I've never really given much thought to doing it myself despite being an insistent "DIY'er." I've seen people doing it on TV and it looks more like a patience job, but obviously having never done it before I'd want to grab a couple junk heads to practice on.

Is this a hard job to learn?

Grinding aluminum is easy. Improving airflow is not.

You need to know WHERE and HOW MUCH to grind. Hell, sometimes you need to ADD material lol

This is pretty easy with the B series heads, as there are many guides out there showing what needs to be taken off where, but some of the other Honda engines dont have such helpful aid available.

It is very easy to DECREASE the head flow if you dont know what you're doing...
