Default auto to manual swap, vacuum assisted mount

Firstly this is for a 96 accord f22b2.

So I'm changing my car from automatic to manual, The automatic has a vacuum assisted rear mount. The 5spd has a regular rear mount, both mount in the same manner with no modification needed While im doing the swap, I'll be changing the ecu to a 5spd ecu as well.

It is a little unclear to me, but will I need to change the rear mount to a solid one? Or can I keep the vacuum assisted with the 5spd ecu?

If i do keep the auto mount, with the 5 spd ecu, i was assuming the solenoid will not open or close, because the 5 speed had a regular mount and the ecu will not detect idle rpm and will not control the valve, I was thinking this would leave a squishy mount?

If i switch to a 5 speed mount, how can i prevent having a vacuum leak? (where and what line do I need to plug)

Sorry seems like a noob question to me, I just think I am overthinking it

Thanks for the help in advance!

Fallow the vacuum line from the switch, cap it at it's source, use the mount if it works or replace with the proper one.

Use a manual mount for a manual transmission. Many manufacturers use mounts like this to control engine flex in the mounts. If you cannot control the mount correctly, substitute it for one that is traditional.

Follow fcm's advice, simply cap the line at it's source.

The source appears to be the intake manifold, could i place a rubber cap on the intake where the normal line would go? and just pull the old lines, but leave the switch with wiring in place to save some trouble incase i ever switch back

Thanks guys

Cap at the manifold, and plug any vacuum connectors that you are no longer using to prevent debris from entering.
