Default Putting a GSR motor into an LS teg

I know this is a n00b topic, but are all the mounts still the same? I ask this because i have an amazing deal on a GSR motor-- and i'm kinda sick of my ls motor-- so what else will need to adapt to fit the GSR motor?

it'll bolt right in. u just need to run the vtec lines to the ecu.

that too.

u can use an LS ecu, and use a vafc to control the vtec, but its a bad idea since the fuel maps are different between the 2 motors

Are the headers the same? Because when I went to buy my Comptech headers, you could get one for the LS/RS/GS/ITR or one for the GS-R.

I did this swap over a year ago. When I first did it, I used my old dc header I had on my ls motor and put it on my gsr. If you do that you don’t have to modify the b pipe. Right now I have a 5zigen header for a Type R(see avatar) and put on a resonated test pipe. again, I didn’t have to modify anything.

O wait, u have to cut off the one piece off the header that bolts up by the oil pan. No biggie.

You have to wire
-vtec
-secondaries
-knock sensor

Mounts are the same.

Need a p72 ecu.

Things get a little more tricky if you are putting an obd2 motor into a obd1 ls.

Good luck.
