I bought a gutted out hatch. Recently I've been putting the rear interior together. I bought the rear panels and put them on but there was a gap between the edge of were the rear seat sits and the molding. Will post pics tomorrow. Well I noticed that the hatch which I got the panels from had a metal bar under the rear seat. I removed it and when I went to put on mine I noticed that there where no bolt hole for them. Even if I did manage to attach it the carpet wouldn't fit properly. So I was guessing it was something with the trim models and that wasn't it. Then I found out that my hatch is Canadian. I think us hatch have it as a safety feature. Can anybody confirm this for me and if so any online parts store to buy the rear seats and side panels from. Thank you!!!!!!

 

96 us and canadian civic's didn't have it the brace was added in 97 and because your civic was made in Canada in doesn't make it a canadian model .
