hello, i got a 2000 civic gsr barred, last week i replaced my alternator, told o rielly i needed one for a integra gsr and i got one a couple days later, so i replaced my alternator and now my belt sqeeks, it didnt squeek before i changed it, i made sure the belt was tight, it drives fine and only squeeks when i start my car, any thoughts? i just want it to go away

 

Check for proper tension.

 

Have you washed your engine bay since installing the new belt? Sometimes the squeak can be cause by moisture between the belt and pulley upon start up.
