h2b swap refuses to starts up for furst time
Just did a h2b swap from a full h and now the car won't start. It's turning over hard but refuses to start. It's getting sparke and the fp gauge is reading 42 psi. What tricks do u guys do to know if the injectors are firing for sure? Thanks
You can have spark when the plug is pulled but the coil can be so weak that it won't spark under pressure. If it is getting spark at the proper time, then it should fire up on starting fluid. Unplug the injectors, spray a starting fluid for 3-5 seconds into the throttle body, and see if it fires. Don't do it over and over, especially if it does try to start. The problem is likely wiring or a bag ignition component (fouled plugs or dead ICM/coil).
Check to see if plugs are firing. Hook up a spare plug and touch to engine while firing, should spark.
Check fuel, pull plugs after cranking, they should all be wet and smell like fuel.
Check ECT sensor properly connected.
Check timing.
