Default Fuel Pressure Hmm

So here is the jist, Was having a problem with my stroker build. Here is the list of what I have.

Gsr block bore.20
ls crank eagle rods with pr3 piston(Nippon)
B16a Head with itr intake port matched to 68mil tb
block spring and titanium retainers
stock b16a cams and stock gears
3" intake
dc 4-2-1 crap header lol to 2.5 back
gutted cat.

So was having problems when hitting vtec and Derek at DDtech street tuned it, at the time I had blox type c cams and jsut could not get vtec in a good range, like hitting a wall. So we figure its the cams. Put stock cams in and runs better, just kinda hesitant at vtec ranged from 5100 to 5700 testing. Stock 240 injectors blox fpr and thought that my fuel pressure was at 41 psi and 50 psi with vac disconnected, turns out it was 37 and 44 with vac disconnected. So i adjust it which it is all most tapped out to adjust and its at 41 and 50 with vac disconnected, it runs tons better, but worried that either the fuel pressure gauge is wrong or new fpr is jacked up. Like I said I can hit vtec and pulls through to 9000. I am going to change out to rdx 410 injectors and toda replica header to help improve and was thinking of putting the blox type c back in. Just concerned about the fuel pressure. AFR is at 13:8 driving and hits 13:1 when vtec hits. What do you guys think. Special thanks to DDtech(Derek) which I will hit you up soon.

Not trying to be a "hater" but you keep saying the word blox...which in my experience means mediocre at best. I would look into a REAL FPR. You should look into better injectors if you run bigger cams again as well. What was the A/F with the blox c's?

Its cool I respect that. I was thinking of AEM or something like that for fpr, I had rc 440 cc that I tried, went back to stock since I went back to stock cams, as far as a/f it was 14.7 idle and normal driving below 4000, soon as I get into wot it was about 13.2 vtec was 6800.

Now i put the stock b16 cams in then 240 cc stock injectors, thats when I noticed fuel pressure was at 38 then 44 when vac was removed. I cranked it down to where i was at 41 psi and 50 when vac was removed. a/f now is 13.8 normal driving when wot it pulls then a slight drop at around 4000 then vtec at 5700 and it pulls to redline which is 9200.

Look into an aeromotove FPR. Well worth the extra couple bucks.

Who the hell is tuning your car? Tuner should be able to narrow this down within an hour? But you've been having these problems for almost a year?

True, good tuners, but I pretty much think its my setup, header is dc crap, plus looking at how the muffler shop messed up my exhaust, since my header did not come with o2 bung they welded a piece that was 2 in to 2.5 and I think that is where I have some restrictions as well. Going for the toda replica and 2.5 test pipe for now to see how that is, also going rdx 410 injectors. Then see if I can find a good tuner that can tune it right local. Derek at DDtech is awesome, but either I need to drive to where he is or find somebody close to Dallas.

Yeah, sounds like a lot of bottle necking, and lack of a proper tune.

nvm, with the pr3 vtec may be have to be set a little higher than you would like. depending on your gearing this may hurt you.
